Does anyone know if the tranmission dipstick is the same for the 2001 ML320 and 2005 Sprinter 2500? I need to buy one, and was hoping to avoid buying two.

Can you use a flexible speedo cable to check the fluid level?

Assuming there's a level spec from the bottom of the pan at a certian fluid temp???
