Hi everyone, I´m new to this forum and have already found a lot of good tips. I´m from Sweden and is a owner of a new ML 270-03 , and are now installing Navigation (pioneer) TV-tuner, Phone, Webasto and alot more.
Does anyone know what the third socket on the radio is for (The first two is for + - D+ etc and speakers ) , I will take the Audio10 out and install one from Pioneer. I also found 2 extra aerial-cables behind the radio? Salesman ML270-03 CLK320-01 CLK 320-99 |

I believe the extra socket is used if you have the BOSE system in the truck, sorry I can't be more specific.
The extra wiring is used for Navigation system and cell phone setups. The one single wire is for the nav antenna (I believe it is a square green connector and heavier looking black cable), and the antenna wires i would have to look at, but they are connected to the wires that come off of the linear compensator, which is part of the phone kit. I would need to study the wiring diagram more closely, but i believe one actually goes to the roof antenna, and the other goes underneath the passengers seat, where in the US the Teleaid control module would be located. You may find an abundance of extra wiring if MB includes the wiring for Teleaid (which is standard in the US) but doesn't actually install the system in your truck. Gilly

Thanks Gilly
Now the phone is installed, i found the two ends of the aerial -cable under the passengerseat and found out that one was to the antenna and the other end went to the front behind the radio, i just had to put them together. I changed the antenna to a new one from MB with 3 cables and conected two of them to cables that was already in the inner roof. Next step will be the DVD will begin tomorrow.
Thanks again Gilly for the help! |
