Just a short follow up for those who followed this fraud.
I returned the damaged merchandise, even tough they said they will refuse receipt. UPS delivered it on 2/28 and they signed for it, then changed their mind and gave the package back to UPS on March 3rd and the damaged merchandise is en route back. So much for UPS and people signing. I'll try FedEx next time! My fellow Benz owner, beware of the return policy, and keep in mind when buying anything from them that they will NOT take anything back, not even damaged or broken items. They are a real class act; they don't return phone calls, never pick up the phone and are rude. I think it is a one man operation out of a garage. I am pursuing various venues to ensure that fellow online shoppers do not get taken as well. It is a shame that these types of vendors can give the entire online seller community a bad name. Again, beware!!!! ![]() |

UPS vs FedEx
UPS did nothing wrong. I just thought when someone accepts receipt of an item and signs for it then they get to keep it.
But UPS lets receivers keep the items and allows them time to then decide if they want to return it. This was news to me; as during that time the receiver could tamper with the packet and UPS would ultimately be responsible while the packet in their custody. I did what I had to do for my credit company to handle it from here onwards. |

I was assuming that the "second" time they shipped it to you they just shipped it to you (again) in the usual way, not the scenario you give that they retro-actively "refused" to accept it. I doubt this is the case.
Did you hear FedEx bought UPS? They're going to call it "FedUp" ![]() Gilly

UPS..FedEx... now FedUp !!
That's cute !!!
The package that is on its way back, is the package I sent and paid for to return the goods. GlobalAutoShop accepted it but then changed their mind and returned it. I wonder if they opened it and what else they did!!! UPS does let their customers accept receipt of packages, keep them for a few days, and then as long as they are un-opened, give them back to UPS for return. Kind of a strange procedure if you ask me, but this is the customer service department explained to me. Oh well, hopefully my cc will resolve it or otherwise I may just be out of luck. Anyway, I have filed complaints with 6 agencies and hope to be able to help others from falling into the same trap. Thanks |
