Syracuse NY
Jacobs automotive.
Older guy with his own shop and about a dozen MBs in the yard. Dealer actually recommended him over themselves for working on any old diesel stuff, or old stuff in general. Genuinely nice guy and honest too. Kind of out of the way over on the east side of town near the walmart, not something you would ever drive by randomly. Long waiting list for repair, like 2-3-4 weeks out on repair depending on schedule. Worth the wait though, he won't gouge you, and there is no question of him not knowing what to do. next, bodywork- Fender Rebender. This guy is south off of teall ave near the SU area. Another nice older guy with his own shop. Tough to get on his schedule as well, but you will be pleased with the quality and price of the work. Very reasonable and knows what hes doing, no question of gouging. I have had good experience with both of them.
