on my wyoming trip i noted several groups of large windmills in minnesota and south dakota.

i found them to be serene, spinning lazily on the horizon.

there was a public radio program discussing them on the trip too. they seldom kill birds but bats seem to be drawn to them and a lot are killed by them.

they seem fine to me. i have always admired the pracitcality of the old water pumping windmills. i noted that quite a few are still in service in wyoming and south dakota.

i always have felt that war protest songs were some of the best music from the sixties and early seventies. a purpose always adds depth to a song.

neil young was one of the best anti war writers.
