The compliments and kindness thread
Please feel free to post kind thoughts and appreciation for other posters here.
(This could be the shortest-lived thread in history).

Hell, I like all you fellows. This is the only place I can go and get some intelligent arguments, even if I don't agree with much of it. I like Open Forum, but I used to like bar fights too..............

Anyone who knows me in the flesh know I'm not prone to flattery, but I'll try some here.
GS, I like the way you balence your arguments and don't fly off the handle. I like MedMech's too-the-point postings with no BS. Kerry is such a smart guy, I wish I had a tenth of his knowledge. Botnst is a southern gentleman (is that an insult these days?), and a scientist with a lawyer's debating skills, a rare combination. KV is remarkably well-informed and passionate about issues, and I have learned much from his posts. Kuan is smart, logical and cool-headed, a great mix. MikeMover is terrific at seeing holes in dodgy posts and detecting humbug. Zeitgeist distills his ideas brilliantly into concise and persuasive posts that I almost always agree with. Webwench comes across as very smart and very pleasant too. Koop is very articulate, too the point and well-read. Jake is a no-nonsense, realistic and principled guy (no horse meat!) Dolebludger is very well informed and independently-minded. Shane speaks his mind without reserve. BHD is prolific and tenacious. Lebenz can tease your arguments apart with ease. I'm not ignoring you other guys just getting tired typing.

I think GermanStar is a man of wit and good spirit. I think JimSmith is highly analytical, and a skilled debater. I think Old300D is a master of the insightful and witty one-liner. I admire KirkVining's persistence. I think WebWench is a wise and able contributor.

Not much of an OD poster (too few hours in the day), but I read most of it.
Disagree with Botnst on most issues but I like his style. He's clever and a smooth operator. BHD is my political opposite (polar), but I sure like his 300SD. Kerry Edwards is the most insightful of the bunch. KirkVining posts with the most conviction. WHunter is the most friendly. All = Great discussion.

Back when I was in Bible College, all students were assigned 'outstations'. We had to travel to a local venue and preach the gospel on a weekly basis. I was assigned to a nursing home. There was a woman in that home who had suffered a stroke and could no longer speak or relate to those around her with one exception. Periodically, and with no connection to what was happening around her, she would yell out at the top of her lungs, "God Damn!"
I like the Boneheaddoctor because he reminds me of her.

Howdy All,
I enjoy everybody in here away from the political threads. The people that I don't agree with about politics have had some good thoughts in other kinds of threads. There are a number of people who have left OD that I enjoyed conversing with also.

Botnst is exquisitely eloquent and marvelously in command of his subject. I hope to have his child someday.

Bouncing rear end on 300D 1983
I have a 1983 300D, and when I come to a stop, the rear end bounces up and down. It seems to follow the cadence of the engine . What's the deal? I'm a new MB owner and really appreciate all the info I have received from the forum. Thanks all!!
