To add a little closure to this post, my son was really bummed for 2 days after I caught him. Would eat very littel and stayed in his room.

On the 3rd day he tells me that he wanted to apologize and was waiting for a chance to tell me when I wasn't busy.

So he apologized and said it won't happen again.

I asked him if he really meant it and he said yes, which I believed. I then told him he could have his Ipod back and he declined, saying I should keep it.

Sounds like you've got a pretty decent kid there; glad to hear that things worked themselves out.

I have been fortunate that all of my kids(My son, stepson and niece) are very good hearted and don't seem to have any malice in them.

Like me when I was a kid.
