1999 C230 Key Replacement/Programming
I recently purchase a 1999 C230 Kompressor. The car only came with one of the smart keys and the flat key used for opening the doors. I would like to purchase a replacement smart key and then have it programmed to work in my car. does anyone know how to go about this? I see there are keys on E-bay, but I am worried about how to get it programmed. The dealer is looking for like $180 for a replacement smart key and I think that is outrageous. Thank you for your assistance.

You just order an "additional" key and it will work immediately for starting and unlocking, etc, no programming neccesary. They are vehicle specific, an eBay key will NOT work.
