What strikes me as interesting is the misspelled word , “whie“. And this at a major University. Maybe they should spend more time on grammar and less on “whining”.

Geez, Somebody leaves a "t" out of "white" and that proves that he/she is less qualified than applicants who didn't get admitted to Rutgers? I make that type of mistake on a daily basis, and I did pretty well in college. For some reason, I have a habit of writing "there" when I really mean "their." Just one of those silly things.
And another thing, are you sure they didn't mean for the "t" to look that way? |
What if it was put there by the Dean of the Colleges of Arts & Sciences?

Its the Spanish speakers who start a question with an upside down question mark...most people don't know that..........and a white supremicy group isn't going to be whinning that Minorities aren't over represented.... I doubt the mental giant who wrote that got into the college based on his or her test scores. But hey...most of my best friends aren't caucaison. |

I am reminded of the sit-com Family Ties, in which somebody's residence gets vandalized, and spray painted on the walls is written: "Whits only!"
(must have been written by nit-whits :D) |
Yes...I doubt its a member of Mensa that did it....

After some investigation, the graffiti eventually was traced to her. The kicker here, is that she scrawled the words "Niger Go Home"...what? some geography major gang members were threatening her life? :P |

The education system pushes a lot of ill-prepared youth through the system. The elite of the bunch get into the top schools...the rest of the pool go elsewhere, and many of those, though qualified, fall short of some skills...spelling notwithstanding. As far as spelling is concerned...just look at the postings on this forum (and others)...spelling and grammatical errors everywhere! And we learned the correct approach in grammar school for Pete's sake! I see the same on e-mails and circulated documents...and this from a seemingly educated lot! If we can't get it right, why should we expect other non-native cultures to do so? |
