Jeez, Now I've Seen it All...

Walked into the men's room today. Standing there in front of a urinal, was a guy, well dressed in a suit and necktie.

He's standing there, doing what guys do when they're standing in front of a urinal, except he's got both hands on one of those "blackberries", typing out an email.

I've heard of multi-tasking, but this takes it to a whole new level.

Probably sprayed all over the wall and floor, not to mention his clothes.

One must give it direction and stability, else it's like those old silent films where an unmanned firehose sprays in all directions.

Funny you should mention that...

I've been on more than one conference call where I've heard a toilet flushing in the background.

Often you don't know who it is, but one time, I knew one of our guys was in an airport, and on his cell phone. I later gave him a hard time over that, figuratively speaking, of course.

On a similar note, when the company I was with was having a 'company wide meeting' , everyone was directed to call into a number at 4:30pm from all company office sites. This ended up being a conference call with 200+ people listening in and able to comment and ask questions via voice.
I was working at our office in NYC that day, which meant I would have missed my regular train and been home +2 hrs. later because the only other trains weren't express. Not me.
Instead, I dialed in from my regular last express train on the cell to listen and just after the point where they announced 1/2 the company was being laid off, there was an announcement over the train speaker for people in such and such cars to exit at the front of the train.
As we were all supposed to be in company facilities for this important announcement, my train announcement went out over the cell into the 100+ person conference room at headquarters.
A quiet hush on the conference call was followed by laughter by all who know how stupid and pointless the meeting was, on top of the fact that it meant that someone had left from the city long before 4PM to be able to make that train.
I'm sure the Pres. of the company was beet red.
2 months later the Pres. of the company was let go for gross mismanagement and they ended up hiring back 2/3 of who they let go. The increase was nice.
