Aid to Israel is not given freely. I would be willing to guess that the intel we get from them and the testing they have done on US weapon systems under live fire senerios more than pays for the aid we have provided them with. They are the only US friendly nation in the area. They are the ones who took out the Nuke power plant in Iraq (because no one else had the balls to do it).

Israel has offered peace to the PLO et.al but they turn it down. From what I can see, they do not seem to want peace, they want Israel gone and the Jews dead. Israel gave back all the land it captured from Egypt in a bid for peace and it worked. Show me one other nation who captured and in a war and then gave it all back. Israel wants peace and would sacrifice a great deal to get, but the PLO, Hamas and the rest want no part of it.

That's my opinion.

Hmmm.....funny argument you have. My piece is a load of ****, but yet it is good for poli sci class. Guess without poli sci class, we won't have politicians. What do you have against poli sci anyway? You have raised some very good arguments, but discarding an academia is never a good thing. It's like burning books.

Here's a thought exercise. The U.S. forcibly appropriated California, among other current states, from Mexico in the 1840's in the aftermath of victory in a one-sided war (and we didn't have the murder of 6 million kinsmen as justification for Manifest Destiny). There are Mexicans today (or at least fashionably leftist Mexican-Americans, see Raza and MALDEF) who believe that the land should be reclaimed ("Aztlan"). If they took it one step further, and if attacks deliberately killing American civilians were launched on a regular basis by Mexicans from the Mexican side of the international border as part of a campaign to get the gringos out, and reclaim California for its rightful owners (or at least most recent owners, never mind the Indians), would you believe that the U.S. would have the right to build a wall keeping Mexican nationals out of California? If not, why not? What's the difference?

How is it out in the settlement of Los Angles in the occupied territory you call California? I see the ancestors of the conquered want it back. Are you going to bulldoze your settlement and get out of your occupied territory?

Puzzled.
You must've missed the going-to-war part in the previous 2 years' discussion. Hope that helps.

oxymoron: theocractic fascism

1) Most arabs in Israel are not able to vote, only a very small number are allowed to even live there. The messiah will return before they become a majority in Israel.

2) the Berlin Wall didn't work; why should this one?

3) Assasinating Palistinian leaders (whether terrorist or not) sounds like terrorism, especially with USA supplied rockets from USA supplied jets. What happened to charges, courts, evidence, and justice?

4) Israel has powerful lobbyists in D. C. and (don't be too concerned), much of the aid money is returned in campaign donations through PACs etc.

5) No, I am not against Jews, just fascism

The Berlin wall was to keep people in, the Israeli wall is to keep people out. You do know of the great wall of China? A much better analogy, is that one still around?

Im not sure why you think I degrading poli sci. I was merely pointing out it would be useful in a poli sci class to discuss how the piece is merely propaganda, by presenting false analogies and bringing up POV's that distort rather than inhance the truth.

One of the biggest mistakes going on these days is that all POV's are legitimate. THEY ARENT ALWAYS LEGITIMATE. Often they only distort or create a false impression of what really occured.

My son and I watch baseball. They have replays. Often one replay may cause you to think the runner was safe, but another replay clearly shows the first one gave you a false impression, thats why NFL refs take so long, they look at many POV's before deciding which one is the most accurate.

I did not attack you or your post, merely stating that the piece you linked is a total piece of distortion BS. I hope you didnt seem offended.
