Lately, every time I catch a common cold I always end up with sinusitis that needs antibiotics to get rid of. Does anybody know of an -effective- alternative way to cure sinusitis ??

Drink lots of beer and stay away from sick people. Seriously.

Bourbon instead of beer for colds and flu. At the onset of sinusitis pour a double hooker in a cup of hot coffee with two tablespoons of honey. Lots of garlic. Eucalyptus oil or peppermint oil will clear a plugged snoot. Cap'n is right. Stay away from sick people.

How about not being there? When I was young and living in a tropical country, I would get a cold followed by either or both Astmatic Bronchitis and Pneumonia. The cure? Move to a temperate country and I am at high risk in the summer. I lower that risk by staying in an AC area as much as possible.

You may have a structural problem within you sinus / nasal passages.
Both my ex-wife and my current girlfriend had repetitive episodes of sinusitis.
Both had sinus surgery to correct abnormal passages that prevented proper drainage. After surgery, problems went away.

You may also want to begin a regimen of good quality multi-vitamins and supplements. Not store brand stuff, which is useless.

Yeah, both my sisters had that. They give you a local anesthesia and then take needle nose pliers and break out the sinus cavity. You can hear the crunching. After that snot just runs down across your lips and chin. Real attractive when you're sitting at the dinner table.

Hydrogen Perxoide is the key to this. I have *huge* issues in this department and a few days of dutiful use of of H2O2 and it's all good.
