Most recognizable M.B. Model

What is your idea of the most recognizable model Mercedes ever made?
What is your favorite model?
When I think of a Mercedes I see a 123 sedan in my mind. I guess because of my age and the popularity of them. The 114 sedan would be second place for me.
My favorite is the W198 Coupe Gullwing.

When you talk sedan, i think of W108. They are by far my favorite. The big grills, the headlights, they're awesome. Handbuilt quality!

When I think of coupes I think W126C's.. 560SECs and such. Sports car of course you think of the gullwing.

Most recognizable sedan has to go to the W126, especially the SEL. Big, long, undeniably MB.

Even more recognizable I think is the R109. 15 years in production or something?

108

I think I'd have to agree. For me it's a 108, though Bot's 126 does come a close second.

All of them really, but I can't imagin not being able to pick a MB out of a parking lot.

I'd say the W126/W140 for the modern ones. W123's look a lot like old Volvo's. Sometimes especialy from the rear at a distance even I can confuse the two.

Lexus copied the W140 badly with there LS's so I guess it must have been a good design!

W126, definitely!

Of the non-current models I like the coupe version the best, 1990 560SEC, and believe the S class MB's are the most readily recognizable.

Nothing says Benz like a Gullwing.

After that, any of the "little" pagodas.
