Is Mexico taking a lesson from us?

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico - Mexico said Tuesday that it would file lawsuits in U.S. courts if National Guard troops on the border become directly involved in detaining migrants. Mexican border officials also said they worried that sending troops to heavily trafficked regions would push illegal migrants into more perilous areas of the U.S.-Mexican border to avoid detection.

I find it impossible to believe Mexico thinks they have a chance in hell of winning lawsuits because we're thinking about finally enforcing our immigration laws and terrirtioial borders. If the Mexican goverment and people think they have a legal right to breach our border illegally, we had better start getting tough.

Start treating this situation with the urgency it deserves. If armed soliders are what it takes to gain control, then do it. This is a national security issue here, and it should be treated as such. Enough with the gloves off approach, it ain't working.

Keep it up and they are going to piss off enough Americans with their stupidity and arrogance we are going to round up ALL the illegals and march them across the border at gunpoint.

Now THAT will put the fear of god in them ( Vincente Fox supporters) when 12 million pissed off expatriots are forced to return for their stupidity.

I've heard it said, "Round 'em all up, frog march them back across the border, and give each of them a loaded gun, and tell them, you don't like the way things are down there, here's a
gun for you, now go and fix it"

(Would work with the Cubans too probably)

"Si no te gusta, toma este pistola maquina, ahora, arreglarlo, caballeros!!" jajaja

Now their is an idea!

What really pisses me off is the Mexican milatary is so curropt that they are running across our border in force to protect drup shipments. I remember the story a while back. Frankly thats an act of war, I don't understand why a military incursion on our southern border wasn't a bigger story.

Those lawsuits should be dismissed outright, any judge that listens to them for more then a minute is nuts.

So, if Mexico sues the US, does the US get to counter-sue Mexico for doing things like publishing Mexican government maps and a Mexican government comic book on how to cross the border illegally into the US? Especially since Mexican government comics aimed at illegal crossing of MEXICO'S southern border with Central America apparently don't contain safety tips or info on living peacefully in Mexico like the US border crossing version.

Or for Mexico having their consulates distribute patriotic Mexican school books to US public schools and 4.7 million consular identity cards to assist illegal immigrants in obtaining drivers licenses and checking accounts?

My wife's family is from South America - legally. They took their turn and applied, legally. Some of the family were accepted to the US, some to Canada, and some were not accepted. They live with it, and travel for reunions. They wanted a better life, so LEGALLY came here and worked for it. Maybe if they had a government that threatened to sue the US if the country didn't let them in illegally things might have been different, or maybe not. But then, they didn't come from a country like Mexico where the largest source of export income (after oil) is the money being sent home by illegal immigrants. Also, when they came here, they knew that at that time their children who were born in this country wouldn't automatically be US citizens if their parents were here illegally, and that they were not automatically entitled to free medical care and schooling if they were not citizens.

Lots of people from all over the world want a better life, and are willing to work hard to get it. Mexico's attempt to monopolize immigration to the US discriminates against immigrants from other countries. And if they aren't required to follow the legal mechanisms in place for immigration, then immigrants from other countries will either have to accept loosing their chance, or will join the illegal waves. (already started, and snowballing!)

Mexico's financial self-interest is more than a little obvious on this issue!

RIGHT! And then, the US attorney should make a motion for the losing Mexican attorney to pay attorney's fees, Court costs and interpreter's fees, payable RIGHT NOW in the Courtroom, and have him served with a big countersuit for everything for every abuse the Mex. Govt. has committed, from damages suffered for the social costs, phoney Identification cards and everything else they can think of.

Then swamp him in depositions and "motion" him to death.

I have been through the whole I.N.S. thing, too, and it's not fun, and not so quick, when I got married to my (no ex) wife from Peru. They get hit with fraud all the time. Then went through it all a second time, when we tried to get her dad (a retired Peruvian Police commander) a tourist visitor so we could show him aroound, up here. We went through all the hoops again with the INS (The Tourist VISA fraud is enormous, people get one and disappear..you have to prove a financial incentive to go back when your U.S. vacation is done) Had a great time, but he hated American food and said "Americans are soooooo fat"

And those remittances back home are staggering when they get added up
"ENVIAJE SU DINERO A MEXICO" that the Mexico economy depends on it
ditto El Salvador and Nicaragua.

And then, to top it off, the Guatemalans who try to cross over the MEXICAN border, to try to get to the United States through Mexico, are easily distinguished by their dress and accent, and get robbed raped and ripped off by their Mexican brethren in Mexico.

It's a mess!! Aieeeeee carajo
