Yep. Whatever you say, genius.

Major political changes need major donations/donors.

I just can't see major corporations putting money into the LP.

YOu need to reform the system, so that contribution money is not as big an issue (or a factor) as it is now.

Otherwise I agree with you, people are getting fed up with the status quo, be it a donkey or an elephant.

As for me...I may start the Free Anarchists Movement of America,...er, better get a different name FEMA has all the wrong images.

A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. A great person does not have to think consistently from one day to the next.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Self-Reliance.”

I thought it appropriate at this juncture.

The LP is for less government intrusion upon our personal lives, AND into business and the free market. The LP is also for lower taxes, and a more fair system of taxation (the FairTax Plan that we've been discussing on my other thread). So why would corporations not support a party that promotes such things?.....

This I definitely agree with!

We need to tear down the walls that the two big parties have built. Legal barriers which they have intentionally and methodically put in place to protect their political dominance... This unfairly restricts ballot access, and makes it VERY difficult for 3rd parties to successfully field candidates.

Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.

Newton's First Law of Motion. Political (and corporate) inertia is darned hard to overcome.

Can't argue with that.

The time to start "applying external force" is LONG overdue.

I'm doing my small part to apply it.

You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right

You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We'd all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We're doing what we can
But when you want money
for people with minds that hate
All I can tell is brother you have to wait
Don't you know it's gonna be all right
all right, all right

You say you'll change the constitution
Well, you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it's the institution
Well, you know
You better free you mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of chairman Mao
Brother you ain't going to make it with anyone anyhow
Don't you know it's gonna be all right

The Beatles.

Couldn't resist, with you being a musician....Cheers!
