Nah, tu no eres una guajira!

You see, I have the opposite "problem." Everytime I walk past a deli, I have this urge to go in and order lox and bagels. My relatives were "invited" to leave Spain right about the time that King Ferdinando and Queen Isabella were having their Jew "issues." So, that may explain my love for lox and bagels and my fervent (some here may call it rabid) support for the state of Israel.

Oy vey!

Mel Brooks is very funny. Who can forget "Springtime for Hitler?"

Noone will admit to anything....I may have to do my own DNA research. But then I may get drafted by the Israeli Army...I may be too old to march up and down the desert.

I have a funny story (well, it depends on your POV really) about the confusion between Cubans and Puerto Ricans. Maybe I'll post it later.

I have one to match about my PR friend Ricky who went into a Cuban bakery in Miami and asked an old Cuban lady for a "Boyo de pan." Screaming and cursing she went on and threw him out of the bakery because in Cuban a "boyo de pan" means a "loaf of pussy" whereas in Puerto Rican a "boyo de pan" means loaf of bread.

In Eastern Cuba bollo also = bread.

In Mexico panocha = pussy, but it also means a sweet treat (gee I wonder why).

I am glad he di dnot ask for "bollitos" = litte pussy. He would have bene arrested as a pedophile.

Speaking of panocha...

I always have fun when driving north toward Sacramento, my 1/2 point from the Cali house is in Panoche, California. I *think* they pronounce it panosh, but I'm not sure. I also make sure to call it panocha loudly for the local workers who may be present at the filling station....
