The Animals at Work!

Well I have been in my new job for a little over 4 weeks now and this company is doing things very different from what I am used to. We are a small company of a little over 70 people and we are currently working out of 6 houses in close proximity. The building I am in has 4 cats living here with us. The building next door has at least 2 cats and a big old red dog. There is only one building that has no animals. Other than a hairy chair some mornings I have no problem with it.
SO! What do you think… good idea bad idea? Anyone ever see this before?

Here are some pictures!

Scott

What's the business?

What's the business, Scott? We have a lot of animals where I work, too. I just call them "co-workers," though. Personlally, I find most of them to be a humorless, irritating lot. Especially the head animal.

That's great. Is that a Siamese in the "group" photo? Love the house and critters too.

That's what I am. At least some of us are pretty damned good, if I do say so myself.

and if I don't say so myself, who will?

Once I was checking out this piece of electronic equipment in this small place. It had some high voltage settings so I started out checking out the lower voltage settings first. When all those were done I switched over to the high voltage part and just as I was about to push the "Go" button the most beautiful blue eyed Alaskan Husky walks up and sticks his nose into the machine

I took my hand off the button and petted and played with him until he got bored and left before I finished the checkout.

I once worked for a music store where the owners kept two large dogs on the premises...a German Shepherd and a Shepherd/Lab mix. Lovable dogs, very docile (lab mix usually snoozed under one of the grand pianos).

Sometimes having them around was awkward. The lab mix would awaken from his nap and trot over to a customer by the counter and "introduce" himself "nose-first"!

I've had the Shepherd gulp down lunches a few times when I wasn't looking.

More than once, the dogs would inadvertently get locked in the store after closing. Didn't really bother the dogs much, but they would amble about the store at night and trip the silent alarms.

I think it's a great idea, animals lower stress levels and besides they're cool!

Clean coworkers

Those three look like better coworkers than a lot of humans I've been forced to labor with. We should have that here! Unfortunately my productivity would nosedive; I'd spend more time playing with the cats than working.

I sell photographic imaging products and facilities. I work with architects and facilities managers to design and engineer specialized facilities for all types of imaging.

Howdy All,
At the airport I work at we have 2 dogs. A pitbull mix and a blind Australian Cattle dog. They aren't a problem and they haven't walked into any spinning props.
