In the future ask for a deposit equal to the replacment value of the tool. That seems to work.

Thanks to our forum and a special thanks to Scammer Hater, the crimping tool is back home. It appears to be in great condition. I truly know details about how it was found except Scammer Hater knows the shop were the fellow that was keeping it took his car. The shop was willing to release it to Scammer Hater and it was sent to me. I need to check with UPS to see what the shipping would have been since Scammer Hater asked me for NOTHING. I have to do something to show my appreciation . . .

I am going to put it back in circulation. For any of the regular posters, plus of course Scammer Hater, no deposit would be required. It just wouldn't be worth it. Newer forum members, unless they have someone vouching for them (regular member) I will add a deposit. Very new members . . . we'll see.

As to the upcoming get-together, I'll have to pass. After the crimper went MIA I foolishly lost some enthusiasm. I will need to get back to work on both cars. The 300TD will most likely be put on the market though I'm certain I'll miss the power. The 300D Turbo will have to become my ride to the events.

Great! You should come anyway, even without a MB. You can take my SDL for a ride if you want. You lent me the crimper in the past, and it was much appreciated!
