Thanks for helping out. It's appreciated.

Great News!!!

No, my caps lock wasn't stuck! I was shouting (above).

A very hearty thank-you to "Scammer Hater" for locating and procuring my timing chain crimper. As with other forum members, the dedication and caring that goes out to fellow members has paid off. He has contacted me, requested my address and is shipping the crimper to me. Though I have no idea if all of the parts will be there (single/double row) or not, at least we should be back in the loaner business (from my end).

I want to thank everyone that has offered the support and help over the time I have been a forum member. This is the type of thing that will get me back in the spirit of working and enjoying my somewhat neglected two Mercedes.

One happy camper,
Steve

All I know is, thanks to the generosity of a forum member, my crimper is going to be on its way home. Beyond that, I don't know and don't care.

This is too cool! I have not been on MS too regularly lately but have been watching this thread for a while and am happy to see that briers got his crimper back.

Way to go scammerhater. You are the superhero of MS. Nothing better than a bit of retribution and a happy ending.

briers, are you going to the NEGTG on June 9th? Maybe the event could be called the 1st Annual Scammer Hater NEGTG celebrating the return of the missing timing chain crimper.

Please, insist on a proper deposit for the tool for all future rentals, Steve.

The loss of the deposit is a powerful incentive to return it.........complete and undamaged.

The spring compressor has been out and back at least 30 times now. No issues.
