Oil prices go up and down.

Sometimes it even has nothing to do with elections, evil Republicans and the like. And sometimes even the brilliant analysts are wrong.

Go figure.

Hattie also wants to be on a first-name basis with every employee in the service department of the local Rover dealership. Hattie should look at a Land Cruiser instead.

It should be akin to a law of physics . . . The ratio of the cost of crude and the retail gas prices never fall in proportion to its rise.

Therefore, the "forces" that cause it to rise are not entirely the same forces that cause it to fall.

i saw regular today for 1.84.

i suspect that it is down to allow folks to relax and so not be too pissed about w putting more troops into iraq.

i have no proof.

i bet youre on to something there. diesel should still come down too, though, but its not here. today i saw RUG for 1.98. diesel was 2.68.

Crude Oil and Total Petroleum Imports Top 15 Countries
November 2006 Import Highlights: Released on January 16, 2007

Preliminary monthly data on the origins of crude oil imports in November 2006 has been released and it shows that three countries have each exported more than 1.40 million barrels per day to the United States, and one country shows exports of greater than 2.00 million barrels per day. Including those countries, a total of four countries exported over 1.00 million barrels per day of crude oil to the United States (see table below). The top five exporting countries accounted for 70 percent of United States crude oil imports in November while the top ten sources accounted for approximately 89 percent of all U.S. crude oil imports. The top sources of US crude oil imports for November were Canada (2.065 million barrels per day), Mexico (1.462 million barrels per day), Saudi Arabia (1.444 million barrels per day), Venezuela (1.069 million barrels per day), and Nigeria (0.919 million barrels per day). The rest of the top ten sources, in order, were Iraq (0.589 million barrels per day), Angola (0.505 million barrels per day), Algeria (0.253 million barrels per day), Kuwait (0.253 million barrels per day), and Ecuador (0.243 million barrels per day). Total crude oil imports averaged 9.836 million barrels per day in November, which is a decrease of 0.296 million barrels per day from October 2006.

Canada remained the largest exporter of total petroleum products in November, exporting 2.584 million barrels per day to the United States, which was a large increase from last month (2.144 thousand barrels per day). The second largest exporter of total petroleum products was Mexico once again with 1.571 million barrels per day.

Nah I know someone who runs probably one of the best Rover shops around, so I already know where to go.

Nah I know someone who runs probably one of the best Rover shops around, so I already know where to go.

I never liked 'em. They're slower, brakes aren't as good, handling not as good, ride sucks (in every SUV i've been in this is the truth).

What really turned me off to SUVs was when I had to brake real hard in our old Isuzu Trooper, and then get into the next lane as fast as possible. I think I got a wheel or two off the ground. It was a spectacular utility vehicle though... tons of ground clearance and large trunk/crap storage.

Then there's our Honda Element. Sweet shifting manual transmission, but when you are coasting in a traffic situation, and give it the tiniest bit of gas it will bob back and forth, makes me sick. The ride quality is crap, Not to mention useless trunk and the motor that sounds like a blender... Hondas usually sound pretty good at high RPM but not this one. At least there is a ton of legroom. Seats are made of a strange canvas like material that doesn't seem terribly durable.

Probably the worst offender was the BMW X5... had 19 inch rims or some nonsense from the factory (probably to clear those HUGE brake discs) so it rode like every road we were on was a huge series of potholes. It did go like stink though with 350HP.

I dont think I'll ever have one, I like aggressive cornering far too much

You drove the X5 with the sport suspension which I agree sucks. But with the regular suspension they ride slightly stiffer than my W126.

I like nice SUV's X5, G500, Range Rover they all seem to ride and drive good enough.

You will be glad to know that the Ford Excursion is based off the 3/4 ton truck but because of people complaining about the suspension, they softened it and gave it other wandering problems.
