Gas Prices...

What has happened over the last 21-30 days that have cause gas prices to drop almost 60 cents a gallon?

Can anyone explain this to me? Wasn't there a pipleline in Alaska that was off line and prices were supposed to go up?

My rocket scientist of a friend(not really, he drives a flatbed) said this morning that "they found a shotload of oil in the gulf" that's why prices have dropped. Lol!

Todays paper said it may go down to under 2.00 per gallon.

WTF?

Does it makes sense?

Actually, instead of paying .60 less, why were we paying more? What is and has happened to cause such a change in so little time?

Thanks

I'm still waiting for diesel prices to drop to the same extent. Better grab a Snickers...

I don't know, but I'm happy. I hope this trend comtinues for a few more weeks. Better go out and get that V12, G Wagen, etc. quick, before the people unloading them realize they once again afford the gas to drive them.

Never thought I'd say "WOOOHOOOOOO gas is below $3.00 a gallon here, but here goes WOOOOHOOOOOOO gas is below $3.00 a gallon here. I remember when it was 17 cents a gallon....

93 Octane Exxon $2.75 today

I got a tankful of Exxon 93 octane this morning for $2.75 this morning. There IS a God!

Now if I can find that 560SEC I've been looking for and this trend continues . . . or maybe even a CL600. Woohoo!

We are getting close. I saw RUG for $2.70 and diesel for $2.75.

You freely admit that for all to read?

So when will they cut back on RUG production and pick up diesel production so that us diesel owners can celebrate? Sure, diesel has dropped too but its still the same or more than premium gas!

Cheers,

Bill

Its hard for me to be happy when diesel is more expensive than 93 octane. That bothers me a lot more than anything.

Me too. Diesels are all I have these days. Including the tractor! Pretty disappointing when I have to pay 10 bucks just to cut the grass.

I have asked several times in the past but I'll ask again. In '97 diesel was .82/gal while RUG was $1.25 which was the norm for years. By that i mean diesel was always way cheaper than gas. Then, by fall of '97 diesel jumped to the same price as RUG and has been climbing ever since, now surpassing the cost of premium. What the heck happened in '97?

Cheers,

Bill
