Whoops, I read about home defense and attributed it to him. My bad. Tell MISTRESS and she can spank me hard for my errant ways.

I have 14 pistols, including 2 Luger 9's and 2 Luger 30's, but my favorites are my four 357 Magnums....... I love the S&&W model 19 with a short barrel, the Dan Wesson with 6" barrel, the Ruger hammerless 5 shot (a great carry weapon) and lastly -- my Ruger Stainless SA, which is very accurate and easy to shoot. In a life threatening situation, I will always take a revolver over an autoloader; autoloaders do occasionally jam in one way or another. I have never had a revolver in good, clean condition misfire in any way.
As with cars, we all make our choices for our own reasons. BC

For home defense nothing beats a short, double-barreled 12 ga. It will empty a doorway, hallway or room. Even if you miss the sound of that gawd-awful thing unloading inside a house would spontaneously empty everybody's bowels.

I have had a DE 44 Mag and it, like many other autoloaders, can be finicky on ammo. I have been shooting 240gr bullets and one day I bought a different kind. Every other shot it wouldn't chamber a new round. Changed back to regular and it worked smoothly. Tried this new rounds and it fired horribly. So, if you are getting an autoloader, you MUST make sure it likes the ammo it gets. IOW, you cannot buy some new brand and expect it to work every time.

how about a .410,semi auto,drum(40 rds I think) and it is short like a revolver.never again worry about wall penetration, but imagine the firing lane damage.think it was called a hornet and used to be only available in alaska.also comes in a 12 gauge, but no drum....cylinder instead, five rounds.fun huh
