I only use Firefox. A superior product all round to IE in my opinion.

I just hope that Windows Longhorn (Vista is a stupid name) will allow for the "Classic" start menu, and not the ugly "Windows XP / Vista Style" menu.. where My Computer, Network PLaces, etc.. is all lumped into a huge, fat menu.

Lets face it, almost everybody in the industry uses "Classic Mode", because it not only looks better.. but WORKS better. I'm all for people innovating new technology, and new designs... but I really wish M$ would just keep what works well for the last 10 years.

Internet Explorer 6 or 7? Only 2 choices.

I'm reactivating this thread to see if anyone has some new comments. Seven automatically downloaded for me as a "Windows Update" but I haven't installed it.

Please don't tell me to get a Mac or Firefox.

I just want to know if I should change from 6 to 7.

For those of you who want your IE6 back, its possible.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/downloads/critical/ie6sp1/default.mspx

you can download that and install it, presto our all good again. Just make sure that when the automatic updates popup, you uncheck the box for IE7 and tell it not to install it...

But being an avid windows user, microsoft certified partner, and as well as having an MSDN account, I have IE7. Not to mention that I am also using Windows Vista Ultimate Final, I have to use IE7. Its not all that bad, but still dont like it as much as 6.

My fiancee had problems with IE 7 on her Compaq laptop the other day, after installing the update.... took me literally HOURS to get the thing working properly again.

She said "What should I do to prevent this from happening again?"

I said......

"Get a Mac."
