Botnst....it is real kewl to shoot a Barret...it's also about 3 bucks a pop unless you a got a good line surplus ammo!

We shot orange painted cinder blocks set up about 700 yards away and it was like shooting tin cans with a 22...except for the noise...and the fact that they are pretty much turned to small bits of gravel. These firearms are powerful and accurate. The recoil was a surprise...kicks about like light pump shotgun shooting 3" mags....you know when it goes off, but you can live with it.

Btw, if you are NOT shooting the Barret, you really don't want to even be around it. Standing 15 feet behind one, the concusion, the explosion....they are fierce.

Hunter Thompson had giant Chinese gongs suspended between trees on his ranch at Woody Creek, Colorado and enjoyed shooting at them....

Shooting exploding targets with WWII rifles is cool too Especially when you make a really big explosive target and you get the concussion all the way thru your gut

Why are they called Firearms? I think Shooting Irons or Lead Throwers would be more fitting.

I hear a lot of gun nuts say this, but have never seen it happen and have bought a lot of new guns (at least 15 since Brady). I also tend to get calls for help when people get pissed off about stuff like that happening and have never gotten one describing the above situation. Sounds like pure agitatin' to me

Then why do you always refer to them as "gats" in conversation

Still here, just working longer hours and added about 2.5 hours of commute time each day. Leaving me very little free time to hit the i-net. I get to stop by on my days off and very, very occassionally on work days.

Oh, and still acquiring guns. Have S&W building me a new competition auto and just snagged an old, but never been fired revolver that I will begin using for the Distinguished matches.

Easy, you'll have to acquire a Class III license or join the military.
