i like the idea of background checks in the idea that it roots out felons and people like that from buying guns.. but not the idea of no one being able to have guns

There's a problem with the background checks. The BATFE is supposed to destroy the records after a short period of time. I recall reading that they didn't do this properly in the past, and probably won't in the future. More recently, they went to buyer's neighborhoods when the instant check was initiated, and questioned whoever was home about why the buyer wanted a gun. If nobody was home, they questioned the neighbors. Your tax dollars at work!

As much as I dislike the "God and Country" aspect of the Constitution party, they do have one thing to say about this that I can accept: If a felon is so dangerous that he shouldn't have access to a gun, keep him in jail.

Guns don't kill people. These certain people should probably be in jail. If the jails weren't full of nonviolent drug offenders, they wouldn't be released early.

It was a MOVIE...Criminals will always have GUNS & little or no morals

The only one that gets restricted from gun ownership is the law abiding citizen.

it was actually a rule with certain mob families, i believe that was true.

not on account of morals but on account of good business.

certain types of business carried too high a price of operation. too much heat for the pols which they had in their pockets.

Gun control is a smooth trigger pull.

The trouble with gun control laws is the only folks that obey them are law abiding citizens. Criminals as defined by their occupations, break laws and they don't really care how many gun control laws there are...doesn't matter, they won't obey them anyway.

Taking guns away from law abiding citizens, won't stop crime....but it will make law abiding citizens into criminals.

Funny what we see.

I saw the advert and was amused by it, not politically motivated in any way. I look at the guy with that Barret on a hardmount and think, "Kewl, I'd like to shoot stuff from the back of that pickup just for the hell of it. "

Like that clip that's going around of the helicopters firing gatlings in the late evening at junker cars in the desert, set to music. That's gotta be more fun than a married man is allowed.

Oh well.
