You gotta film it, Brian.

That's a huge peeve of mine - people who let their dogs out and then ignore the dog's persistent yelping because it wants to get back inside and they ignore it.

No, it serves to take a small portion of your calm and peaceful existence when people violate your personal space or your personal rights. If you allow it.......when do you decide that you've had enough?
No,no,no..THINK!,speaker's too damn obvious and provocative.

I had this problem at a rental, the damn upstairs tenant's dog was upsetting the elderly lady below, dog was left alone for 9 hours during the day and barked incessantly.
Fortunately a friend suggested an ultrasonic device intended for ridding farms or whatever of deer, wolves, coons etc.

My friend brought it inside, turned it on,adjusted the modulation and aimed it upstairs, soon the barking was replaced by silence and then muted whining.
He instructed my elderly tenant how to use it when the dog barked and within a week no barking dog! Upstairs neighbors eventually got rid of the dog because It apparently pooped and peed a great deal during it's "behavior modification therapy".

In my specific case, I'm not at all worried about obvious and provocative. The husband is a terrific guy and hates the damn dog. He's told his wife that the barking dog is objectionable to the neighbor and that the dog should not be allowed outside for more than 10 minutes at a time. She's what you would properly call (a name that I cannot print here but it begins with "C") and simply ignores her husband for her own best interests.

But, your solution, for an indoor situation, is simply fantastic. I would doubt it would have a proper effect from 50 feet, however. That's about the closest that I can achieve.

Brian, your idea is awesome. But Carleton's is sheer brilliance!

Either one of these is definitely something I would do.

Yep, his is excellent. But, I don't think it will work outdoors due to the dissipation of the sound.

Damn, I guess I should have let that wifebeater continue in front of his 10 year old son 16 years ago before my brother and I hogtied him and waited for the police. I hope the Commadore doesn't find out!

Most townships and cities have ordinances regarding dogs. Recently where I live a judge was fined because of his dog's late night barking. He got a second citation and moved the dog to the country to avoid a fight with animal control. I would record the dog barking and note the time and call the cops

No,when violence is involved and/or witnessed decisive action replaces decorum.

The rule here is that the village code enforcement officer must come down and personally observe the dog barking for 15 minutes.

Now, the wife isn't stupid. She'll notice the patrol car out front in about two seconds and realize that the dog is the issue.

Furthermore, the barking isn't steady. The dog may take a break for a minute or two and then continue.

I've tried this approach on three occassions. Failed every time. Need a better solution..........and I think I've found it.

I can't imagine a date stamped video of the dog barking accompanied by a sworn affidavit from two witnesses wouldn't suffice in almost any court regarding this issue, but if you want to go the route of that crazy guy in CA who's house just burned down two weeks ago, have at it

PS: I don't know for sure, but I think there is a section on dogs in the International Property Maintenance Code which most if not all municipalities base their codes, and if this is the case, there may be an alternative approach than going through animal control. I would check, but I don't have a copy ($1200 per copy, and I have only had to use it once!). Good luck.

Brian,It was something on the order of this but smaller. This baby has quite the range and can penetrate walls,Imagine a whining, scared dog *****ting up the c*nt's floors!

At least hubby is sympathetic.

Or throw the mutt a ham sandwich with ground up laxatives and benadryl
