Amazing how much lead you can move with a 10/22, a bunch of high capacity mags and a speed loader

Sounds like some real father son bonding time. Keep it up!
For those getting into shooting with the kids - I recommend Rogue Chipmunks.
Single shot little replicas of the full size thing. Not plastic. Real Walnut stocks. Various calibers and stocks to choose from.
We got our daughter the .22 when she was 4. She now shoots the 17-HMR and her little brother shoots the 22. The .22 has a red-dot. The 17 has a 3x9. Both with bi-pods and slings. The kids love them.
The 17 (foreground) looks bigger than the .22, but it is not. Both are 30” long and ~2.25 lbs plus the optics and accessories. The .22 has a solid gold trigger thanks to HRH Prince Al-Waleed (long story). The kids like having one up on the gold Browning triggers. The 17 has the stock aluminum trigger that’s been filed and polished. Original Rogue triggers do leave a bit to be desired. But - Nothing a little file and polishing wont take care of.
