1st post here

Hello all. I registered here a while ago, but never posted.
But anyway.
Names Tom. Originally from Jersey(I read the post on Jersey. I must say it was pretty damn funny & TRUE). Was in the military for a while, but am now collecting my VA disability pay. Living in Panama City, Panama. Got a 2000
C28(NO it is NOT a C280). We have had it since May when we moved here( my wife is originally from here).Pretty much all stock from the "factory", except the A/V system I installed(currently upgrading again to headrest monitors & a filp out screen in the dash next to the gauge cluster) & better smoother sounding subs. A few exhaust & intake mods but nothing major. The car is plenty fast as is. I've had it up to 240kph, but the roads here suck & I know I should not have taken it that fast, but I was by myself & no cars on the road. I wanted to see what it could truely do, but the roads limit that, but atleast I know the car can handle the roads with whatever I throw at it( the Toyo T1R's help a bunch too). No I do not street race..I hate it. But I do love my "spirited driving". It's a Mercedes tuned for it, that IS what it was built for

Glad to be here, & hope I can hang around for a bit.

Well, here are a few pics.

Welcome

Howdy, Tom.
Welcome.
And - Thanks for serving (Military).

Nice ride.

(Though I’m personally not into pre-mature hearing loss or forcing others to hear my music.)

Hi Tom,

Welcome to the forum, nice ride and clean audio install!

Just added a sub and box to my car a few months ago. What a difference!

Welcome. Nice car.

Are the driving laws in Panama pretty lax?

You seem kind of young to be owning/driving a car................

What's it like living in Panama? Real estate values economy etc....?

I recently read an article where some US real estate company was developing a large US style housing project.

Thanks!

Welcome,

That's a real good looking car, and the wheels are just right for it. Would it be a Euro-spec car? (Pardon my ignorance). Most of the Mercedes in Peru were all Euro spec ones jthat I saw there.

Is there a dealer in Panama City to use, or do you have a good private shop
to use? Some parts of Central and South America are pretty hgit and miss for cars like that.
