Inversion Tables

What has been your experience with inversion tables? I got one three months ago and use it about 3 times a week for 15 minutes each time, my joints and back feel wonderful after using it. However, I'm concerned because my blood pressure is high after using it and stays high for about 6 hours afterwards, is that normal? Blood is normal when I don't use the table

i think the blood vessels have little hairlike structures in them to keep the blood from all going to our ankles and staying there. going upside down will put a lot of blood up high in the body and the hairy thingies will keep it up there. making higher blood pressure.

maybe.

i am no doctor or scientist, but this seems to be a thought i have read or heard somewhere.

i have no idea whether it is anything to worry about or not.

I have one also though I have never checked my BP after OR before using it. 30 years at UPS kinda wore out my back and it helps.

I also have one and have used it off and on for the past twenty years. Though I don't know if in your case the elevated BP is something to worry about, I would think it prudent to check with your physician. If (s)he gives you the you would be better off. I can add that mine also elevated until I became acclimated. In accordance with the user's guide, I started going horizontal then kept increasing slowly until I was able to suspend inverted. The free hanging experience seems pretty good. I worked from slow inverted turning/stretching to eventually doing sit ups while inverted. Nice workout on the abs.
