Trunk Finds

What are some of the things you have found in the trunk (or interior) of a used car you bought.

Me, so far,

Valve adjust wrenches in the 79 SD.

Huge bar of silver in a 500SEL. (rebate?)

A handgun under the seat of a Pontiac yrs ago.

Lots of dried up tator tots...

A bottle of Grey Goose in the trunk of my '97 E300D when I bought it several years ago.

i bought a 51 caddy convertible which had a full set of stainless wire wheel covers, a couple of carburators and misc other stuff.

i sold the wheel covers for over $300!

best trunk find i ever had.

second best was when i bought a 240d with a full set of filters and other things.

funny thing was, i got a great deal on the 240 cause the filters were plugged! come to think of it that might have been better than the caddy considering what i paid for the 240!

An uncanceled stamp commemorating Langston Hughes under one of the front seats, and a whole bunch of uncooked macaroni under the back seat. Fortunately, the small vacuum cleaner in the trunk took care of the macaroni.

I found a box of golf balls in my SL600. They were Pro V1's. The PO had a fine taste in golf balls.

When my family goes and looks at new cars we joke around and rate the trunk in the number of dead hookers or snitches we can fit

Tell you what the new S-class.. thats a 5 body plus a midget striper trunk

In the trunk of the 1985 2.3-16 I bought in February, there was the original Pirelli P6 spare tire, with the wheel mounting stud still secured in a lug hole.

Inside the cabin, I was able to confirm that the previous owners of the car were sisters, one of which was the original purchaser in 1985.

Yes, that's a turkey wishbone in a baggie tht was under the front passenger seat. After the photo was taken I found 5 more pens and more loose change.

haven't bought enough used cars to find anything... junkyards are a different story tho, found 2 perfect bundt rims in the back of a car after i pryed open the trunk (took some effort too.. that trunk lock looks small, but its tough! metal ripped before it did) one had $10 in the glovebox, stuffed int he owners manual (grabbed both), found a few spare oil/air/fuel filters the yard let me have free, a can of diesel purge... thats all i can think of now
