My friends new carry pistol, .38 with hollow points.

No safety though but the trigger pull is real heavy. Also the holster for it covers the trigger, kind of looks like a wallet in your pants pocket.

I call it "the Saturday night special".

I'm thinking of getting myself something similar when I get my concealed carry permit. Likely an S&W airlight hammerless 38 special.

You know it. It wouldn't be a problem if cleaning rods came with left-hand threads.

The problem is the S&W is like $700, and this thing with everything including a holster and 100 rounds was $330 out the door.

Fremont California, in the general San Francisco Bay Area, has joined a few other cities now whose police force NOW will not attend to burglar alarm calls UNLESS the alarm co. can PROVE that it is a real burglary (in process).
Saves the city around $600K per year because of the dismal 90% false alarm record.

Anyway, having personal firearm protection is important. An option for any U.S. citizen !

..and yes San Francisco has always been a bandit town and now with all the extra wierd stuff, its gone down the hershey highway to the garbage heep.

Indeed. It's costly but it's a few hundred I'm prepared to eat in this instance. Rather like buying a Mercedes instead of a Hondota.

Nah! I want the oldtimer MB, equivalent to a 108/123 etc. Heavy, simple and built like a tank. Not one of the new techno nightmares.

Like Boris the Blade said in "Snatch". "Heavy is good, heavy is reliable. If it doesn't work you can always hit him with it"

- Peter.

This is true, maybe its because they use those guns in all my favorite shows and series.

Stargate and Henrietta made me love the P90!
