Bee-you-tee-ful car! I love the Euro bumpers. US spec bumpers look more out of place on them than any other Benz.

Looks like the winner of the auction at $28,100 was a dead beat bidder.

The car resurfaced on ebay today, with a Buy it Now of $40,000.

It is a beautiful car, no doubt about that.

I think that I like the velour upholstery.

And that engine is just gorgeous looking (I hate the look of modern engines, all plastic!)

But an aftermarket radio?

It is a nice Alpine h/u. It looks like model 9885 (same model I have in my 300CE) But somehow it detracts something from an otherwise beautiful old timer!

It is a Euro Benz. Europeans, at least back then, seemed to like velour.

I agree for that kind of money I want the original head unit in place. For modern sound install one of those hidden radios that you control with a remote.

As for the velour I actualy prefer it, I hate leather, although MB tex is fine.

$40k, I dunno. I hope he fixed the oil leak. That could be a big time repair (in terms of labor).
