Autobahn or other....You can only go as fast as the guy in front of you. That was my case on the short trip from Heidelberg to Hemsbach.

Thats a cool looking car!

On my have to do before I die list is drive a Porsche 911T on the Autobahn. It would be a trip to work out a 911 in its natural environment.

Hey, Larry!

Thanks for the report, sounds like you had a good time.

I'm ruffled, 19% sales tax .... , shocking!

Well, I always thought, the Germans and the British are about the Top competitors in perfectionating bureaucracy. And they are pretty successful in doing so!

Haven't been to Germany in over 15 years, but back then there were no junk yards. Used cars and parts were sold off to less afluent countries. What ever was left was recycled. Did you see (m)any older cars?

Last time I was there, was in Dec of '91. There was one yard, but not much to see there, and not very large. There is supposed to be a yard (more of a dismantler) in Viernheim (I think), that supposedly has a good selection of parts.
I did not see many "Oldtimers" as they call them. Just a 123 or two. I did see one very nice white Pagoda (113) going for a Sunday drive
O was supposed to meet up with a friend of mine for a ride in his Adenauer, but I ran out of time.
