He'll STILL do better than anyone else we have to vote for right now.
Even in his present health condition.

For the life of me, I can't devise a cogent oppositional argument.

Ya mean I've FINALLY stumped you?

I'm pretty surprised by the poll results. Last time I saw we did one of these polls a few years ago, it was pretty much 50/50 conserv/liberal. The forum has shifted!

Plenty of dim bulbs have used radio to stir up public emotion for less than honorable ends.

In Rwanda, the killing mobs were mobilized via radio to an extent. In Guatemala in '54, our CIA used fake newscasts to whip up anti govt. sentiment in the populace.

It's a powerful medium. Limbaugh, Hannity, and Savage have way too much power in relation to their brain power and capabilities in actual fact. I'm not saying it should be banished but spreading lies and propo -- stridently -- is not in the public good.

By my definition I am a centrist, ticket splitting independant. I sympathize with folks with less advantages but I am fiscally and socially pretty conservative. I like guns and value the right to bear them but believe easy access to very lethal weapons is not a good idea. I don't want abortions to be illegal but don't think they should be used gratuitously. I want clean air, water and rain forests. I want the opportunity to do work and earn money in a fair market place. I value freedom of religeon and believe in the separation of church and state. I value a free press and freedom of speech.

I think that most drugs should be legal and accessible without resorting to buying them from criminals.

I believe in a strong military, but I don't want us getting into wars that cannot be won. I believe Colin Powell's idea about military adventures was very good.

I think that valuing the individual person is one of the most key elements that has made our country great. Valuing, respecting and supporting individuals.

And I believe in majority rule while respecting the minority.

And finally I value old mercedes.

So does that make me a rightist? I wouldn't say so.

Your post that only rightest "divide us all up" so that makes you a a rightest because you are insinuating that it is the right that divides. Figuring out what side you are on is mental slavery, do what I do make it clear that you have disagreements with both sides and don't align yourself with a party just because you think that the party and it's drones are there to serve you. I see a mass defection from the Republican party so that clears the notion that people right of center are hard headed kool aid drinkers. I think the people drinking the Kool Aid are the ones that refuse to argue a point that differs from their respective party and cohorts lexicon.

Do you know what a political compass is? Would you believe that a true political compass puts ME left of center.

I think everyone likes to pigeon-hole people because life is easier to deal w/ when we can "explain" how or why they think and act. My view is that most of our individual political philosophy is based on our desire for individual freedoms versus our desire for government control--and I created this graphic as a way of viewing this dichotomy. It isn't perfect, but I believe it shows our feelings about liberal v. conservative. It also seems to surprise a lot of liberals, who have this tendency to pigeon-hole all conservatives as fascists.

Sorry, I didn't realize that you were the arbiter of race relations otherwise I would have felt compelled to defend myself. Since your not, I don't.

You obviously did well in your Race Baiting 101 course.

Well done!

Austin is not exactly the champion of racial or political tolerance so if you failed his test...you get an A in my book. You could give it a try but it will be hard to penetrate the resin via the internet.

I hope you are not teaching your kids this crap.
