I was carding at Riverfest on Friday...a 24yo local bartender (Mr. B.) came in (EVERYONE under 40 was being carded, then wrist-banded) and handed me a VERY WORN DL...not legit...called the supervisor, who then, in turn, had the cops over to scan...cops gave him a pass, I banded him...end of story for Friday...

Then, Saturday, I'm IDing w/a partner...same guy, but he hands his ID to newbie, she hands it to me, but before I could give him the OK (Since the BS the night before "cleared him"...) he whips out a DL (expired) from HS...guess what was wrong?

Yep...ID number had a '1' instead of a '4'...

Collected both (now there's a question as to how legit any of the stuff really is.).

This time, the supervisor starts to give me the "stink eye" but I show him both IDs...he turns the "stink eye" onto to Mr. B., then radios the cops...they both come on down, then pull him out of the beer-garden, then grill him for 20 minutes...Mr. B. even has his girl-friend come out of the beer-garden to talk w/the cops...

The cops, eventually, take his HS "fake" license, give him some crap about his worn-out legitimate ID, write him a ticket for some BS (never found out what exactly it was for...), then I get to band him and send him back into the beer-garden w/his chicky-poo...

BOTTOM LINE: Leave the fake IDs in your treasure-box and quit carrying the crap around...

DUMB-ASS RULE: NEVER USE A FAKE ID TO LEGITIMIZE A LEGITIMATE ID!

And another bar-time tip: Never argue, out loud, with a bouncer, and say, "I'm going to "snipe" you!" in front of a cop or two. Your night WILL get REALLY LONG and the girl-friend will be getting a ride home with anyone but you...you'll be getting the shiny set of hardened-steel bracelets and a free ride to lock-up...
