I thought that might be the case also (laying down the upper half gently) but the way she walks over to the bench and sits down looks so normal. I dunno -- might have been a good trick with the crowd not in on it, or he might have substituted the hybrid body for the first one he led to the bench. That might explain why he did the trick before a handful of people in a park and not on stage for some serious cash.
The part of this that baffles me the most is the remaining legs portion of the body. The way the legs worked looked inconsistent with the length they would have to be to be attached to a midget that could have fit under that dress.
