you could probable get some extensions for the studs and use a custom plastic washer fashioned from some thick plastic

I am up to 23 badges!!! ... the more the better

Question License plate mounting?

I wonder if it would be possible to mount these grill badges to a front license plate? I've seen Mercedes Stars mounted on either a black or chrome license plate.

...just an idea for grill badge unfriendly Mercedes.

Ok, if you guys can help me figure out to mount it, then that is good enough for me.

Count me in for one for them.

seeing as on the OBK badges if you screw the studs in too tight the stud holder break off...

or... they can be fastened to a thick license plate and some short screws with washers can be fastened on the back of the plate..

Jim, I'll help you figure it out. I had to be a little creative getting MBCA and MB Mileage Awards to work on the R129. Although they have a deep, odd-shaped grill assembly, it is possible.

Any OBK Badge Owners - Unfortunately, I do not have an OBK Badge yet. But I assume the MB-Shop Badge will be similar in mechanical attachment. Can someone send me the dimensions of the studs (length, diameter and distance apart)? Also a picture would be great.

I like the license plate attachment idea, too. Reminds me of the old rally plates on pre-WW2 motorcars. Hmmm… that gives me an idea or two.

Cheers,
Jeff

Mine are going on my 129, the 210, and the SD.

I figured I'd have to make some extensions for the 129 and the 210. The grills are thick as compared to the 126.
