The sad thing is the kids pay for it. 6 of them maybe with their future.

According to the CNN report, the principal tried to expel the noose hanging kids and the board overruled him.

As I understand it, the principal, with school board backing, wanted to expel the boys who beat the crap out of the one kid and discipline Mr Hangman's Noose. Law enforcement went a different direction and the prosecutor went whole-hog on the boys as though they were gangsters.

It seems from what I read that one of those boys had been in a lot of trouble with the law, including violence, as a juvenile. Tough guys get respect in school and I imagine he had some weak-minded followers who didn't want to be excluded from giving the kid a well-deserved butt-kicking. Too bad they found it necessary to gang-up on him -- why not just allow Mr Tuffguy to demonstrate his abilities?

It's a sorry affair blown way, way out of proportion by small-minded people who have a racial vendetta who were unintentionally aided and abetted by dumbasses in law enforcement and the DA's office.

Had the principal's approach been followed this crap would have remained what it actually was, teenaged boys showing-off and one getting hurt. It happens like, a million times a year.

Not the point.

He's writing the kid's injuries off as being "not serious"....

I was trying to make the point that if HE were the one who had gotten his a$$ kicked and had a concussion as a result, he would not be so quick to say it was "not serious".

No disagreement with the point you were trying to make it's how you were making it.

I've had a concussion before. And I didn't write off his injuries. They were not serious, that is a fact. Seriously injured people do not leave the hospital the same or next day to attend a party. It's a question of appropriateness - were his injuries serious enough for an attempted murder charge.

This is the really amazing part of the story, and one that gets little notice.

The gun-puller got no charge but the black kids get attempted murder, using rubber soled shoes. The kid would have been in way worse shape if they were really trying to kill him.

The whole thing is amazing, but different groups having their own spot to hang out at (NPunI) is not that unusual. Look at prisons. Different racial groups keep to themselves and zealously protect territory. Not exactly right or exemplary but it's going to happen, for a long time to come.

And the attack occurred 3 months after the noose incident.....and the attackers claim it wasn't noose related.

Not sure to what you are referring, but the source I provided for the gun incident was also reported by CNN.
