I use it because my hand gets tired from all the long "please hold" calls. I need my hand strength for other things.

That's funny stuff. "borg"

The only time I answer my cell during "private" times is when my wife or kids call. It may be an emergency and they want to talk to me. Or it may not be an emergency and they just want to talk.

Funny story: Our house is set-up for Wi-fi networking. One day my daughters are sitting around the living room watching a movie. They also each had her laptop out and they are all typing furiously.

I thought they were doing homework.

Wrong. It turns out they were each "talking" to the other. They were discussing what to get me for my birthday and did not want me to overhear their plans.

That's pretty good! Sort of like those infrared transmitters that were popular a while ago. Kids could message one another from across the room. Forget passing notes in class...

My friend's daughter came home from school one day and jumped on the computer. I asked her who she was chatting with. She said: "My friend Jenny (or whoever it was at the time)" I asked: "Did you not just see her at school?" "Oh yeah..."

And that reminds me... I got a million of 'em... My other friend's daughter calls her boyfriend late at night and takes the phone to bed with her. They talk until they fall asleep but they leave the line open all night and keep the conversation going as they doze off and wake up. I was sleeping on the couch over there one time and she woke me up talking and walking around the house at about 4AM. I thought she was sleep walking...

Ahhhh, I am sitting at work right now, with the phone my phone vibrating away......

Makes me think of this thread, and how important my mobile email is during this time.

And about my bluetooth headset..... I lost the charger. Yes! That means I really do not have to talk while driving now. Makes me very happy!

Kartek brought up a good point... Any of you talk on the can?

Of course, but I have good manners, so I don't usually flush until after I hang up.

At home, absolutely. Outside? It depends on who calls.

Good point, JD. I, too, hate that. I do try to be conscious of it if I happen to be the one wearing the "implant." Wonder what Emily Post would have to say about "Ear Bob Ettiquette?"

Respectfully,

Yeah it drives me nuts. I don't text and the camra on my phone is broke, good I don't want a damn camra. I send maybe 5-6 text's a month at most.

My ideal cell phone would be about the size of my currant Razr, maybe a bit lighter and thinner. It would have a battery thats lats damn near forever, and get clear reception everywhere on earth. Damn all the stupid crap, I'll give up everything else.

Instead of a bluetooth, I use the "old fashioned" miniature microphone. It has a little arm that comes out, she they can hear me ***** better.
Not sure if I would use a bluetooth gadget anyway - radio transmissions that close to my noggin worry me - they might interfere with the transmissions that the government is secretly sending out.
