Yep. It sure can. The questions that I always want to know, right away is; "What can I do to make her take her clothes off faster? What can I do to leave her wet and wanting more? Why can't I fight off this urge to fall asleep? What's in the 'fridge? Why does she want to talk, now? Yep, sex ALWAYS begs for knowledge...

It's REALY SIMPLE...It should be illegal...morally wrong as in "sexual harrassment" illegal...Medical Ethics Illegal...(WARNING! OXYMORON AHEAD!) Lawyer Ethics Illegal!

But, then again, that's MO!

She wasn't arguing about grades, she was arguing about understanding a field of inquiry.
The study I was referring to on student evaluations was not done by Hustler or Playboy but academic education theorists trying to understand student evaluations.

I was kidding about the Hustler/Playboy thing, but the evaluations being commented on as to why the answers were given, and the supposition that it was, probably, due to students/teachers sharing horizontal sleeping spaces is just that...supposition.

No study could possibly be done (College Kids vs. truthfull answers about sexual bravado? Yeah, right!) to determine what was going on in the minds of the queried...so, all you have is a bunch of academia "commenting" on why THEY think the answers came back the way they did...

That's not a study or evidence for attractiveness/good-grades vs. butt-ugly/barely-passing.

If anything, you have a bunch of kids "horn-dogging" for better grades (the sexual "bullet-proof" type of mentality) vs. the "horn-dogging" menopausal instructors.

Two sad groups groping for grades or for sexual gratification.

Both deserve each other...

I didn't argue that. I argued that students who find teachers attractive rate the teachers as better teachers. I then speculated on why this might be the case. To my knowledge the study had absolutely nothing to do with teachers sleeping with students, it was just about attractiveness which undoubtedly has a sexual component.

I fail to see the problem. It's not like sex at 16 is somehow wrong. They are human too.

Go up to Canada or over to Germany where the age of consent is 14. Spain is 13.

That is what I can't see. IF the instructor had said "You sleep with me and your B now becomes an A, I'd say lock him up. However, other than that, what you have is 2 consenting adults.

So raise the age of consent to 100 then. Problem solved.

Yeah, the older I get, the more I actually have to try to be a decent teacher.

I used to have conversations with an aging female colleague about this issue. She thought she needed to develop a quirky persona as she aged to keep the student interest up.

Rate My Professor actually has 'Chili Peppers' to rate the hotness of teachers.

Ramanujam can't rub any math into you if you don't have the aptitude period. Sleeping with him would only give him a freebie pleasure.

Taught.....yes, college level higher math proficiency for masters and doctorate, certainly not unless one has aptitude, this goes for all subjects period, sex included.
