I thought wireless keyboards would chew through batteries a lot more and faster than a wireless mouse.

Unless they've improved in past 3-4 years (and they may have), that sucker will go through batteries like a rottweiler goes through steaks. Prepare yourself.

Moving up hattie...
I have had a wireless keyboard/mouse for at least 5 years now. I have killed like 3 wireless keyboards, and countless mice... I went back to wired keyboards, as it takes me about a year to kill them, as opposed to 6 months... But my wireless mice... I kill them almost yearly... And I replace the batteries bi weekly... Damn you Logitech... Helping other companies by eating battereis.

It is a Logitech set. The keyboard is great on batteries, I think I've only had to change them once. The mouse has a little red light inside it that acts in the place of the trackball. I guess running that light burns the batteries down quickly.
