We're at 8.6*F and sunny in balmy southern New England.
My poor TD didn't want to wake up this morning (not plugged in and only 3 functional GP's. Surprise, surprise!) so I let her sleep in. Like a dum bass I was the last one in last night and didn't feel like shuffling cars around so it was parked behind the wife's van and my Jeep. Fortunately I had enough room to roll it back so that I could get the other ones out by driving over the recently decreased snow-pack on the lawn. I really have to replace the GP's. It's only been a year now.

You ain't *****tin' me! I got 2 stoves working now and as we speak a hale and hearty fellow is lining the kitchen chimney with double wall stainless and a "tee"branch to hook up the stovepipe to.When it warms up he'll repoint the chimney and repair the soldier course plus install a cap,he's even going to fabricate black iron stovepipe with the correct 90 degree sharp corner, all for $1,000.00.
Oh....the '98 E300 started as well,ain't I lucky? |

From what I recall I would take MI's 0 over LA's 30F, I remember not being able to get warm no matter how close I got to the KP tent without going in.

Amend that: 25F. That might've damaged my orange trees. Now we're getting serious.

-1f here today and yesterday.
The coldest I ever saw here was near -30f. As a kid in the south bend area I remember looking out the bus window and seeing -15f and we went to school that day. Brrrrrrrrr! Tom W

'bout time
The Little Lying Robot in my car (the exterior temp gauge) reported 28 F. this morning on the way to work in The Swamp. All I can say is, "It's about time we had some winter!"
Of course, knowing this place, I'm sure we'll have slipped back into the nasty stew and be at 75 by the weekend. At this rate, we'll be spiking 80s by the end of February. Gahhhh . . . .
