You are correct. The Giants played very well in that game, yet lost at home. Will the result be different next time? Stay tuned.

A key to the Giants turnaround imo occured when they fired the old offensive coordinator in 2006 and brought in Kevin Gilbride. They play much better, with essentially the same team as last year except the Tiki/Jacobs switch.
The big difference between the teams imo is that NE has game breakers at all the skill positions. The Giants have Burriss and Jacobs.

Yup. I was concerned about the Giants D and it was the O that gave the Pats fits. Yesterday was by far the worst playoff game Brady has played thus far. He generally follows those games up with far stronger ones. 1 reception for Moss and 3 picks by Brady and they still won by 9.

It should be interesting to see what kind of scheme Belichick comes up with for Eli.

It does feel eerily like the Pats SB matchup against the then juggernaut Rams. The big difference is that the Pats of now are able to get as physical as they need to. If you don't give them high flying "finesse" then they'll go to road-grader and short pass underneath mode.

14 pts. is a ridiculous spread. Which is kind of surprising given the fact the the Pats haven't beat the spread in a month and a half. 3 pts. seems to be the Pats favorite margin of victory in the SB, but I'm thinking it'll be by 6. Pats 31-Giants 25. Yes, 3 Hynes FG's.

I like the Pats chances on neutral/home leaning field, in a wind-free dome and in warm weather.

You are being WAY too humble Swamp - no way, IMHO that the Giants stay that close. I simply refuse to believe Eli can continue to play at this level.....and week 17 results (and the Giants staying close) mean nothing now.

I know where you're coming from........he's not the most experienced QB........but, he's now beaten the best in the game..........so, something is working for him. Very few mistakes and very accurate passes..............
