I agree you should be treated equally as well if your dresssed in shorts or a tux...
Yeah, you want 120 Hz processor if possible ... although to be honest, I'm pretty sure mine has a 60 Hz processor and I have never had a hint of motion blur, and I watch TONS of sports in HD.

It's funny, as far as being "judged" on attire, I often find that I get less of that when I go in a "snob" store, and much more of it when I go into a store with mixed patronage. For example, the shopping center most convenient to where my parents live (where I grew up) is uber-wealthy. Most of the stores I couldn't begin to shop at, but I go to the grocery, drug store and post office there when I'm in the area ... no one cares if I'm wearing oil-stained duds and a worn-out Broncos sweatshirt. Maybe they just assume that everyone in the town is rich as creases, so I must just be one of those eccentric rich people (eccentric yes, rich ... not quite). The super-rich seem much less interesting in image, I find, than the middle-upper-class folks who want everyone to think they're super-rich. I guess we're all a little guilty of occasionally trying to show other people how important we are ... I do it with my writing sometimes and usually pay the price by alienating readers. Oh well. Human behavior is amusing and confusing.

Good luck with your TV.

Well, the point is, whatever you buy today, there will be something else faster, brighter, slicker, blah, blah, blah next year. These TVs are so much better to watch than the old CRT screens that you'll love whichever one you get.

I've never been particular about how long my money was aged . . . Fresh is fine with me.

Mistress I donot know about the Sharp but I have been very happy with the 40" Samsung LCD flat screen. Like everyone else has said make sure the two Sharp models are the same even to the point of matching model numbers. They should be identical for the two tv's to be the same. Just one letter or number off and there is a difference in them. Good Luck

Dlp

I bought a 43" Samsung DLP (1080) 4 years ago. The HDTV on it is outstanding. I would rather have this over an LCD anyday. Perhaps the only place it lacks is the picture quality on regular tv, but I guess I choose to stretch it rather than watch it in its 4:3 formatting.

I has been great. Have to replace some bearing for the motor that runs the projector, but that has been the only problem. Picture has not faded and looks the same as the day I bought it!

You know I'm just joshin'......it's just that time of the year again. I'm also cranky because the Phils biggest offseason move blew out his knee (Brad Lidge) on the first freaking pitch in batting practice. Awesome.

It's a shame that you don't know someone who can get them wholesale.
You're on your own with the Bose though. Shame to put that with a nice TV.

o.k. now if you were paying attention, I said I'd have to confer with you before I made my final decision. What was the name of the other speakers you liked?

My brother-in-law has a nice Polk surround-sound set-up. Don't remember what he paid for the whole deal, but it wasn't outrageously expensive. I've watched a few things on his set-up (sports mostly), which have sounded very nice with those speakers. Really enhances the whole HD experience ... I'll spring for something similar eventually. I'm not good at convincing myself to spend money. Still working on getting myself to "splurge" on the head untit I want for the Benz.
