Around La Crosse, I listen to the Sports Station - WKTY 680AM - then when traveling - early morning I try to catch the Bob & Tom Show on WMEQ out of Menomonie, WI., then there are the 3 rockers - WMEQ-FM/92.1 again, WECL-FM/92.9 "The Big Cheeze" and finally, the "Carp"-WDRK-FM/99.9.

92.1 & 92.2 play somewhat the same list, 60s-late 90s, but 99.9 is the 00s version for the older kids-"IFeelLikeCrapAndNobodyLikesMeRock" - VERY MOODY in a semi-negative way...just different enough to remind me there are positive things going on ...

Since I am in WV I have found a couple country stations I like. Right now I am into Kenny Chesney (sp?) channeling Jimmy Buffet so I am listening to him. I also flipover to the oldies (60's,70's and 80's when did the 80's become OLDIES?) and the usual classic rock crap.

Up in NY I have also found a couple good country stations as well as WPDH classic rock in Pokie town.

usually I would listen to CDs but the darn Delco CD player in the truck took a powder as fif the cassette player so I am left with FM.

I want the Benz back as it has a decent Sony CD player in it

I like the local WX AWOS-3 info I get on 118.375.
Also, the services provided out of Ft. Worth ARTCC on 124.75.

I don't think I can get any stations with call letters like that, WVO. . . . Do you have to have an airplane to pick them up?

Might be shortwave. My father listens to all kinds of stuff on shortwave at night, some very strange. He's got one of those small, battery operated multi-band radios. Drives my mother nuts because invariably the thing he wants to listen to is half static.

I recently got most of the oxidation cleaned out of the old stereo in my basement and began listening to some of the old vinyl albums I have. What a treat! A lot of that stuff is not available on CDs now.

Broadcast radio seems like such a bust.

Another sirius user here.

channel 36 - dance/techno
ch9,8,7,6,5 (90's, 80's...50's)
ch1 - pop hits

NPR talk and NPR now - Talk of the nation" is my drive home. I'm getting sick of the "Bryant Park Project". can't stand DR

sometimes I rock ch29 - the punk channel, or 65(?) the christian rock channel, depends on my mood.

Reecntly, I've been surfing up to the "Left wing talk radio" and "Right wing talk radio" channels just to be different.

When without my sirius, its the local NPR station.

That is what I do at home... I have my old Marantz turn table hooked up to ebay Fisher speakers and an ebay Kenwood amp. Love my vinyl!

The antenna's aren't hooked up to the head units on either of my cars. I just listen to 80's and Italo disco...from the 80's LOL. Yes I'm weird. Sometimes I will listen to new techno/electronic stuff as well. Fischerspooner and Ladytron are about as new as it gets for me lol.

You guys should check out this website:
http://www.burlak.net/index2.html

It's Roman's (Pumpish) band and it's pretty cool

Here's a youtube video of his car. I believe he's singing the soundtrack song about turbo power.

Remind me to never piss him off on here.

Roman once challenged Chuck Norris to a fist fight.
