Supremes to World Court: Pfffft!
Supreme Court Ruling: World Court Decisions Not Binding in US
The case has put President Bush in an odd position. As governor of Texas in the 1990’s, he declined to intervene in dozens of executions. As president, Mr. Bush initially objected to the lawsuit Mexico filed before the World Court that led to that tribunal’s 2004 decision. But in 2005, the White House announced that it would abide by the World Court’s ruling and would instruct the states to reconsider the convictions and sentences of Mexican nationals on death row. The Texas courts refused to go along, however. |

Screw treaties with other countries. Get screwed in return.

I am glad to see that at least the Supreme Court has not given up our sovereignty to a world body... maybe there is hope for the republic after all! Now we need to get the heck out of NAFTA, stop the North American version of the Euro, and go back to being the USA not the North American regions formally known as the United States.

So you're saying the US is under no obligation to honor treaties it has signed with other countries. I thought this country was better than that.

I would guess they would be about as numerous as the countries that are in the world court who would be inclined to devote their armies to this or that cause were the need great enough.
I belive there was another military power some 70 years ago that thought no one could touch them. They even mocked the words of leaders of other nations who tried to spell out to them what their limits were. Funny thing, about 20 nations with militaries smaller than theirs ending up trimming their sails big time. Could never happen again though.
