Some of the most idiotic driving behaviors I see regularly involve:
1: Young Men
2: In small Japanese cars
3: Most often with a spoiler & a fart can Muffler
4: Usually accompanied by a throbbing bass beat.

Righto. I see alot of them, too, whipping in and out of heavy traffic like maniacs. I'm always geared up for a pile up and looking for safe places to swerve out of the traffic in the event they do happen.

I go along these lines. People are frustrated because they have so little power in most aspects of their lives. When they get behind the wheel they are the top dog and abuse the power.

I wish that everyone would drive like they want everyone else to get home safe. The idea that "we have to make this work for everyone" is a dying concept. It is called civil responsibility. It is the flip side of the civil rights coin.

I think it all depends on your temper.
If you con not control your temper then you freak out when someone cuts you off.
And if your are having a bad day, someone cuts you off, and you have a temper I am sure you will freak even more.

I think driving aggression is inversely proportional to self-esteem.

Perhaps that underlies aggression in general.

I agree. The moron will usually also have a baseball cap on backwards or at some silly angle. But I have noticed agressive driving from other demo groups as well. Probably not as noticable as the ricers though. In particular the type of person who has a new high end German or Japanese sports or luxruy conveyance. There's fewer of those around here than the ricers though so that's probably why ricers are more obvious.

something else....

It is hard to drive aggressively when you are gabbing on your cell phone held up to your ear.

I was almost run off the road last night but a little Indian girl in a new Accord. I was doing 70ish in the left in pretty heavy traffic, and she came blasting up behind me doing all of 110. Swerved in and out of three lanes of heavy traffic, almost causing a few accidents and keeps going. The way she was driving I was half expecting to see police chasing her, it was like wildest police chases or something.

So I get off my usual exit, and low and behold look who is beside me at the stop light. I roll down my window and a yell at her, "where the **** is the fire?" "you freaken moron do you realise how many accidents you almost caused." I probably scared her because she just kept looking ahead. I should have called her plate into the police.

I see all the ricers and illegals in New Haven drive like nuts. They have nothing to lose so they go nuts.

After reading this I have decided that I must not be that aggressive.
