The Clash is a well liked band with Blacks, coincidentally the Clash was very sympathetic to blacks.

I remember a scene in the CBS sitcom "Becker" with Ted Danson. At the coffee shop where he smokes, Becker is telling Jake, the blind African-American newsstand vendor that he likes listening to James Taylor.

Jake replies: "James Taylor … how white are you, anyway?"

Should be!

It's what the Coupe de Ville was to Blacks in the 60's and 70's!

Footnote: If you see one w/o 22" rims, it's not owned by someone of African-American descent!

Marketing Study of African American, Hispanic American and Asian American Car Choices

The conclusion?

African Americans are attracted to vehicles that are Powerful and Classy (e.g. Chrysler 300). Hispanic buyers look for Aggressive and Powerful, but Confident and Protective vehicles (e.g. Kia Sedona). Asian buyers, looking for the "complete" package, choose vehicles that are Pleasant yet Powerful, Easy Going yet Protective - all with modern design and technology (e.g. Acura
MDX).

Yeah thats pretty accurite.

Now how do I say this and not get called a racist, because I have seen this time and time again and am just wondering... Whats the thing with chrome wheels, usualy very large...that certain groups seem to love. I simply don't understand it.

I see it in New Haven all the time, just wondering.
