we could have won Viet nam if we had the will. records show tiet offensive was a big failure for them but press acted like we lost. bombing north brought them to the table. we could have starved them out by bombing rice irrigation system, but worried about world opinion. left wing wants to overlook the millions of deaths caused by pol pot when we cut and ran some think our troubles today are because they think we are a paper tiger, afraid to use our power. could be argued we wouldn't be in the mess we are in in Iraq,if we would have gone in with enough boots on the ground in the 1st place.
