McCain has been the ONLY Senator to veto and block earmarks and pork barrel spending in his career. There are a lot of things that make me uncomfortable and wish someone other than McCain, like Mitt Romney for instance, got the nomination, but overspending isn't one of them!

I've read that Hillary really does have a real foul mouth and constantly uses profanity in her regular conversations. What a lowlife! I've also read that she treats the Secret Service and all those people that work for her terribly. That's how she got the reputation as being a *****, because everyone knows she REALLY is one... No wonder Bill won't touch her... Would you?

I dislike all the candidates this year, but out of all of them I think McCain will screw us the least.

I do not know why I was drawn to look at this thread. Governments no matter what type always end up like an old car. You can’t afford to get a new one and trying to keep the old one running is an expensive PITA.
I am just glad that the people who created the Constitution and such did an imperfect but generally good job to the point that while the struggle goes on to take away freedoms the law is still prevails strongly no matter who is in office.

Were lucky because we have the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. So if we do need to revamp the government at least we have solid bones to rebuild off of. Although if we just did what RP wanted which was pretty much a "reset" to 1900 levels we would be golden.

Thats why I flat out oppose any change to those two documents, if we start screwing around with those we really are SOL.

Hey, the "Crew" at 1600 Pennsylvania are basically the gophers,that Nixon
and Haldeman considered too incompetent to be Plumbers.

I'm afraid that "Hard Times" in America have just begun...
(the likes of which will make 1929 and the ensuing catastrophe seem like a cakewalk)
And the man we need in the White house is currently un-available.
(It would be Illegal to dis-inter Franklin Delano Roosevelt and install him
as President...Although, even in his current state,he would do a much
better job than whomever we end up with.)

AKA, A huge mess. I give you your BS, you give me my BS and the voters have a huge **** sandwich and they all have to take a bite.

Edit: Lets look at this "compromise" a little closer. Theoretically, we are both responsible since we both had an equal hand it it. Or are we? Most of the time, if not all, you blame the President, forgetting the contributions of congress. So, what that says is that the President has most of the blame but not more than half the power really. Now, if most of the blame is on the President, doesn't that put more pressure on him to cave in to congress? If so, that means he has really less than a 50-50 shot at it, doesn't it?
